French 22K Victorian Archaeological Revival Link Bracelet

This incredible mid-19th-century bracelet was made by Jules Wiese, known for his revival pieces. The design draws heavily on Hellenistic-period jewelry from ancient Greece, which continues to inspire jewelers today, including Lalaounis. Our favorite detail is the spring-ring clasp intricately carved into a lion. Lions were a popular symbol in Greek goldwork, representing strength and protection, and were also associated with Hercules and Alexander the Great.
